Dear CIArb Members and ADR Practitioners,
We are thrilled to invite you to the inaugural event of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) - Chapter Greece, on November 22nd, 2024.
This event marks a significant milestone in our collective journey to foster excellence in arbitration and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) within Greece and beyond.
The event will provide a unique opportunity to meet and connect with fellow professionals, professors, thought leaders, and practitioners in the field of ADR.
We are honored to welcome esteemed speakers, including the President of CIArb, Jonathan Wood; the President-elect of CIArb, Mohamed Abdel Wahab; the President of LMAA, Jonathan Elvey; the Chair of CIArb Branch Europe, Philip Landolt. Along with other prominent speakers, they will share insights on current trends, challenges, and future developments in arbitration and mediation.

Chapter Greece falls within the European Branch of CIArb and aims to collaborate with CIArb members, students, arbitration professionals, alternative dispute resolution (ADR) practitioners, and organizations across Greece within a dedicated hub for knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and innovation.
We seek to enrich the national ADR landscape by promoting the exchange of expertise, forging partnerships, and strengthening connections between practitioners, academics, and the broader public. Together, we will work to advance the practice and understanding of arbitration, mediation, and other ADR methods, fostering a culture of effective dispute resolution.
In line with this mission, the CIArb Chapter Greece will organize a wide array of professional activities including seminars, panel discussions, lectures, debates, and networking events, all geared toward enhancing the knowledge and skills of practitioners across various sectors.
The Branch is led by a Steering Committee, the members of which bring diverse perspectives and deep expertise to the chapter’s initiatives.
This launch is a part of a significant milestone, reflecting CIArb’s ongoing commitment to promoting excellence in ADR globally.
CIArb, a century-old international organization, supports a global network of over 44 branches and 17,500 members across 150 countries.
Through its chapters worldwide, CIArb advocates for the promotion of ADR as an effective tool to resolve commercial disputes and provides seamlessly high-caliber qualification programs.
